These include coming up with Hong Kong-related bills, blatantly supporting "Hong Kong independence" organizations and violent radicals, or smearing the "one country, two systems" and the law on safeguarding national security in Hong Kong by various means.

"But what is important is that no one should unilaterally shut the door for dialogue at any time," Wang said. "Difference, misjudgment or confrontation should not be allowed to dominate the bilateral relations."
However, after the law on safeguarding national security in Hong Kong was enacted by the National People's Congress Standing Committee this June, some U.S. politicians began blowing their top, the spokesperson added.
Meanwhile, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has said that "Canada will impose countermeasures that will include dollar-for-dollar retaliatory tariffs."
"Pompeo and his likes have time and again abused state power to bring down Chinese high-tech companies under the pretext of national security, which China firmly opposes," Wang said.
Spokesman Wang Wenbin made the remarks at a press briefing after Ecuadorian foreign minister said the country will be surveilling Chinese fishing fleets near the Galapagos Islands and that Ecuador expects to hold bilateral talks with the Chinese side.
For his part, Hishammuddin said that Malaysia attaches great importance to the robust relations with China and that their bilateral cooperation goes beyond geopolitics.
